PLAN OF THE LOTTERY.
The numbers from 1 to 30,(XK1, corresponding with
those numbers on the Tickets, printed on separate slips
of paper, are encircled with small tin tubes, and placed
in one whoeL
The first 218 Prizes, similarly printed and encircled,
are placed in another wheel. The wheel* are then re
volved, and a Number is drawn from the wheel of Num
bers, and at the same time a Prize is drawn from the
other wheel. The Number and Prize drawn out are
opened anil exhibited to the audience, and registered by
the Commissioners, the Prize being placed against the
Number drawn. This operation is repeated until all the
Prizes are drawn out
Approximation Prize*.—The two preceding and
the two succeeding Numbers to those drawing the first
18 Prizes will be eutitled to the 72 Approximation
Prizes, according to the Scheme
The 3,000 Prizes of 820 will be determined by the last
figure of the number that draws the $50,000 prize. For
example, if the number drawing the SSO 000 Prize ends j
with No. 1, then all the Tickets where the number end* j
in 1 will be entitled to S2O. If the number cuds with 2,
then all the Tickets where the uumber end* in 2 will be
entitled to S2O, and so on to 0.
