PUBLIC information is hereby given to Commissioned Officers, Non-Com ini f fjoned Officers, and Privates, of the iate ar my of the United States, entitled to lands in pursuance of the several Refdlves of Congress, or to their assigns or legal representatives, jthat Warrants so» their refpeftive proportions .will be ifiued at this Office after the ift day of April next. In order to prevent unneceftary applica tions, it may be neceftary tO state, that the following defenptions of Officers and Soldiers only are entitled to lauds from the United States. Fir ft. Commissioned Officers who served until the end of the war. Second . Commissioned Officers deranged by virtue of the several resolves of Congress. Third. The legal representatives of all Commissioned Officers killed in aftion. Fourth . The Medical Staff difignatetf by ,the refolvc of Congress of the 2 2d September, 1780. Fifth. All Non-commissioned Officers and Privates who enlirted for and continued in the iervice until the end of the war. Sixth. The legal representatives of all Non-' commissioned Officers and Privates, enlifted’’ for the war, and who were killed in aftion. To prevent the partiesjuftly entitled to the War rants being defrauded, the following regu lations will be ohferved :■ Fit ft. In caf«f of personal applications of Non-commissioned Officers and Privates, proof ■will be required of their being the identical persons whose rights they claim, by a certi ficate of an Officer of the regiment or line to ‘which they belonged. §econd. In case of alignments', legal evi dence of the transfer will be required. Third. Applications of executors and ad ministrators mud be accompanied with legal evidences es their refpeftive offices. Fourth. No warrants will be blued to the order of .the party originally entitled, or to the order of any assignee or legal representa tive, but in consequence of a power of at torney duly acknowledged. Second. A traft beginning at the mouth of the river Ohio—thence up-the Miffifippi to , to the iriver Au Vaufe-—thence up the fame until it meets a weft line fiom the mouth of the Little Wabafb—thence eafleriy with the laid line to the Great Wabash-—thence dowu the fame to (he Ohio, and thence with the Ohio to the place of beginning* which iafup. posed to contain upward* of two millions of per**. ON Friday night lad William Fall made bis elcape from the gaol in this town, by digging through tie chimney.
