lectors of taxes within this ftatc.
BY an Aft, cumlca “ An Aft to ascertain
the Salaries and Fees of the Public Of
ficers of this State, granting compenfaiion to
thp Members of the General Adeinbly anl
their Officer*, appropriating money, and for*
eflabhfliiug a Contingent Fund,” parted at
Augnrta the 23 d December, 178?, it appears
that certain appropriations are therein made,
as by reference to the faii. Act will more
fully appear ; and for the payment and fatis
faftion thereof, an Aft, entitled “ An Aft for
iavpoling a Tax for the year one thousand
feveu hundred and niuety,” was parted at
the time aud place aforelaid: To avoid any
doubts that may exist in the premises, they
the said Colieftor* arc hercb w notified, that
no receipts for payments at the Treasury can
be attained, except on Governor's Warrants,
President aud Speaker's .Drafts, that, lhall
particularly express the fame having been
drawn on the a*orefaid appropriations for the
year 1790, or Gold and Silver, Rice at
twelve (hidings, or Tobacco at fixceeu jh.l
iingsaud four-pence per hundred weight, and
nothing eife.
