A Proclamation.
WHEREAS I have received offi
cial information that a certain

i( complexion, had on a l’carlet jacket, and is
“ about five feet, nine oi ten inches high j”
and a certain “ JOHN BROWN, about
** twenry-five years of age, fair complexion,
•* yell iwilh hair, short, about five icet, ten
•* inches high, and had on a scarlet coat turn
“ ed up with whie,” did, on the night ofthe
twenty seventh day of January, one tboufand
seven hundred and nioetv-twe, break out of
the jail of the county of Richmond : I HWE
THEREFORE thought fit to iilue this mr
Proclamation,' offeting a rewird of ten
Pounds , to be provided for out of the contin
gencies of the current year, for each of the
aforefaid offenders, to be paid on commit
ment to the jail of the county of Richmond
aforeiaid.
GIVEN under my Hand, and the Great
Seal of the said Slate, at the State-
House in Augusta, this second
day of February, irf the year of our
Lord one thousand feveri hundred and
ninety-two } and in the fixteeatb year
of the Independence of the United

AIRY, will fe*tl that very high, airy and
healthy plantation,- containing 250 acres of
ht id, about 60 acres of which arc cleared and
mclofed in three fepara'e fields under good
fence i. It may be a fufficient additional r -
co nmcndatioti to Mount Airy to fay, it is at
the beid of the navigation of Savannah river
for large trading boats, is joining to theCainp
bell and Falmouth towus, and within two
miles and a hall of Augulia, is open to a full
view of the great falls of Savannah river for
five tm!es; has on it a good dwell)ng boufe
and ftore-houle, and a number of other con
venient buildings, a good orchard of fruit
trees, large garden and yard indofed in the
heft manner, an excellent spring of water, and
a tpring-houfe with a stone floor. About 40
: acres of this plantation are in winter grain,
and the remainder freih turned up for corn;
the wimer grain may be Bought with? the
plantation, and pofieffion given immediately*
if most agreeable.
