' HUNT, STALLINGS £? Co.
BEG leave to inform their friends and the
public in general, that they have a
Ihip just arrived at Savannah, with an affort
xnent of frefh manufactured European
GOOD S,
Which they expect in about three
weeks up at Augusta, to fopply the planters
of Georgia and South Carolina, who (hip
their produce with them, on the ofual terms,
and also to dispose of at their customary re
duced prices, for calh, tobacco, cotton or
indigo.
As the term of the partnership of
Hunt, Stallings and Co. will expire next May,
and the parties being defiroua of brioging
their matters to a final settlement aa speedily
as possible,.. it is requeued that all tbofe wbo
have any claims against the will render in
their occounts to George H «nt, or Stradfort
Brown, at the (tore of H jut Stallings and Co.
who only are duly authorised to receive and
make payments and fettle the concerns of the
laid partnership, and those planters who,
thee* the failure of the lad crops, may not find
it convenient to make immediate payments, it
as hoped will come down and give their ob
ligations payable the next, and to those who
have been their constant customers a further
Credit will be given, if required.
N. B. As some illuatured and gruundlefs
reports of Cel James Stallings being confided
a prisoner in England, have been industrious
ly circulated through the country, tending
to injure the credit of the H *ufe of Hunt,
6talliugs and Co. and weaken the c-mfi fence
which the planters of this date and South
Carolina have hitherto repofsd in it; in or
der to do away the ill opinion which these
reports were evidently designed to effett,
it is deemed necessary to inform their friends,
that by applying to Mr. S. Brown at their *
itore, ot Capt. E. Stallings, they may be
thoroughly Satisfied of the fallacy of such
reports.
