undation of the river Savannah has occaponea
in the town of Augufia, and the calamities which a
like mi fortune may bring on it in future , will, it
is h fed, induce the citizens of this Jlate to give
every encouragement to a mcafure which may prevent
as much as p fifibie, Juch damages being done in fu
ture; To remedy which, and forward those valuable
purpojes , thejubferibtrs appointed commissioners for
carrying into effect the law for establishing the
PIER LOTTERY, beg leave to sub
mit to a generous public the following

To commence drawing politively on Tuelday the
lit day of November next, or sooner if the

cotton, corn or indigo. It is well timbered for lum
ber ; and a beautiful fiiuution injeriur to none in

and a half miles from tne river, and is attended w.th
