for making an allowance to the exporters
of the fame, byway of drawback, (hall
extend to, and remain in full force, with
refpeft to the several provisions and clau
fcs of this aft, fubjeft only to the altera
tions hereby made.

negro fellow who fays that he belongs to
the widow Gibbons , and calls his name

inches high, with a/mail fear under his
right eye, andJpeaks bad English.
BROUGHT to Burke jail,
on Sunday the 14 th of May, a negro fel
low who fays that his master’s name is
Carter, and calls his name JUPITER ;
he is about five feet high, with jomefmall
country marks in his face, his left ear with
a flit in it, and one of his upper fore teeth
out, and J peaks bad English.

TN the jail of Hancock county,
-*• a negro man who fays his name is
EMANUEL, about 30 years of age,
flout and well built , near fix feet high, he
fays he is from the ijland of St. Domingo ;
( his language is very broken,) he has on a
blue cloth jailor’s jacket , linnen overalls,
and check’d jhirt. The owner is required
to come forward, prove his property, pay
charges and take him away.

has taken a large and commodious house at
colonel Cobb’s MINERAL SPRINGS,
on Reedy creek, a few miles above the road,
leading from Augufla to Louisville, where
he will accommodate, on reasonable terms,
all those who may have occafon to visit that
place, A commentary upon the. virtues of
those waters, altho * recently difcavered, is
deemed unnecejfary', ds they have been ex*
perienced by many tefpe&Mt vaUtndtnari*
ans who can vouch jot their efp < acy,
Besides the advantages to be derived from
the internal use of these salubrious waters,
which flow in great abundance from innu
mtrablc there is perhaps no place
in the world where the coldi or temparatep
bath can be used with greater purity or to
a greater advantage. The junction oj these
little rivulets gliding over a bed of white
sand and pebble', forms fd bold a Jirtam,
that the trunk of a single tree fallen across
its courfei conflilutcs a rtftrvoir of this
cryflalme f.uid, over which a building is.
ended, large enough for the bathing of
twenty persons at the fame time without dif*
turbing its transparency.--Other baths of
different con/trudure are ending for the
better accommodation as well of the ajfcded
as those who may vift them for amusement
or the purpose of evading the diseases inci
dent to the sultry months,— It is a remark
able, that well known fad , that persons in
the highefl fevtr may freely use these baths
to advantage'. And to crown the whole,
this delightful spot is situated in a Very
high and healthy part of the (late.
The subscriber also informs the public that
he has a general assortment of groceries and
a few dry goods.—An excellent baker is
about to set up his trad . here ; and it is ex
peded a market provifions will be
