To the Public.
THE fubferiber takes this
**• method to inform the public, thatk
has taken a large and commodious house at
colonel Cobb’s MINERAL SPRINGS,
on Reedy creek, a few miles above the rcai
Leading from Augujla to Louisville, wktrt
he will accommodate, on reasonable terms,
all those who may have occasion to visit that
place. A commentary upon the virtues of
those waters, allho ’ recently discovered, is
deemed unnecejfary, as they have been ex
perienced by many refpeblable valetudinari.
ans who can vouch for their efficacy.
Be/ides the advantages to be derived from
the internal use of these salubrious waters,
which flow in great abundance fromirtnu .
merable four us, there is perhaps no place
in the world where the cold, or temparott,
bath can be used with greater purity or to
a greater advantage. The junction of theft
little rivulets gliding over a bed of white
fund and pebble, forms so bold a stream,
that the trunk of a jingle tree fallen aertfs
its courf, conjlitutes a reservoir of this
cryfialint fluid, over which a building is
trebled, large enough for the bathing ts
twenty perjvns at the fame time without <Lif.
turbing its transparency.—Other baths of
different conjtrubture are trebling for tk
better accommodation as well of the affuttl
as those who may vift them for amufemtnt
or the purpose of evading the diseases inci
dent to the Jultry months.—-It is a remark
able, tho well known fact, that per forts in
the highefl fever may freely use these baths
to advantage. And to crown the whclt,
this delightful spot is fstuated in a very
high and healthy part of the slate.
Thefubfi riber also informs the public tint
he has a general ajfortment of groceries anl
a few dry goods.—An excellent baker is
about tofet up his trad * here ; and it is tx
pc bled a market of frejhprovifions will le
pretty wellfur nijked.
