COTTON GINNING.
HE business of cleaning cot
ton, with expedition, and without
injury, has been tried in various shapes ;
and none as yet appears to bt altogether
fatisfadory «
Under these citcumflaiicess / ./hall only
observe, that I have fnijhed one of my gins,
such as I intend to offer the public s and
that in days t with one hand to feed,
with fve pair of wooden rollers each ten
inches long, (without any extraordinary
exertions) it cleaned 398 pounds of net
cotton. This gin will be kept going in Au
gujla every day, Jor the inf petti on of those
that are doubtful of its operations, and
mu fi fpcak for itfelf.
I shall continue making those machines
as fajl as lam encouraged to do jo, in
terms of my former advertisement; and those
gentlemen that fubferibed conditionally may
exped a preference by
