jail calculating on voluntary contri
butions and legal appropriations for trebl
ing that building, the utility of which, it
is hoped , will soon be experienced,—trujt
that individuals mho owe on Jubfcriptiom
as well as public officers in whose hands
appropriations are , or ought to be, need
only to be informed that monies are imme
diately wanted to carry on the work ; and
as subscriptions conflitute the principal
funds, the commiflioners hope that thofa
who have not as yet subscribed, will contri
bute liberally , to remedy the deficiencies og
the prefnt funds .
