tee, a trefh supply of Dr. Lee's Patent

which have been found so highly ufcful in
all parts of the world, particularly in the
American seaports, where fevers prevail,

AN ACT to authorife the JnJiices of
the inferior court of the County of
Greene, to lay an extra tax , for the
furpo/e of ere Stag a court.houfe, far
said county .
BE it evaded by the Senate and House
of Repr/feniatives, in General Af~
fembly met, That the Justices of the in
ferior court for the County of Greene,
are hereby authorifed and required, to
impofc a proportionate extra rax on th«
rcfpellivc inhabitants of said County,
annually, for the tcrito of three years in
fucccffion, not exceeding the one half of
the annual general dare tax of cadi inha
bitant, which said tax -hall be collected
in the fame manner, and under the fame
reftrillions, as are lain down- for the
collcftion of the general tax of this State;
and when the Turns so collc&cd (hall a
mount to the sum of five hundred dollars * •
or upwards, it (hall be the duty of thiy
Justices aforefaid, to contrail with form:
fit and proper person, to build a conve
nient Court•Houfe for said county, and
the monies so arising from the extra tax:
as aforefaid, shall be appropriated for the
special purpofc of paying for, and com
pleting the said building, any law to thti
contrary notwithstanding.

ref peels the Commijji oners of the Court
Hutfc and Jail,
BE it evaded hy the Senate and House
of JReprefentatives of the State of
Georgia, in General,AJfemhly met , and
tt it hereby evaded by the authority of
the fame , That Samuel Henderson, Geo,
Ried, John Afpie, Ktheldrcd Wood, John
King, Isaac Bourcn and Robert Mont
gomery, be ahd they arc hereby appoint
ed Commiflioners of the Courr-Houfe and
Jail, in the county of Jackson, in place
of the Justices of the inferior court, and
they, or a majority of them, are hereby
empowered, and fully authorifed, at their
own diferetion, to fix on the mod proper
place to ercll the Court-Houfc and Jail
in said county, and also to let the build
ing of the fame to th« lowed bidder, af
ter giving thirty days notice, or by pri
vate contrail or agreement as they may
think mod beneficial.
Sec. 2. And be it further enaded,
That the Justices of the inferior court are
hereby direAed to make provilion agree
able to law, for the payment of such Tale
or contrail, as the (aid Commiflioners,
or a majority of them may make.
Sec. 3. And be it further enaded by
the authority aforefaid, That so much of
the above recited all as militates againlV
this all, be and the fame is heieby re
pealed.
