Faffed by the lefl Legislature of the fate of Georgia, AN ACT To anthori/e the jujlices of the inferior court of the county of Bryan, to le-vy a county (ax, not exceeding one third part of the general tax, and to authorise the fail court to colleQ. the monies atijing from the rents of the Gleah land in said county, and to appropriate the fame to the defray iirg county ex fences. BE it enabled by the Senate and HoU fe of Reprtfentatin.es cf the fate of Georgia, in General afj'embly met. That the juftice* of the inferior court of the county of Bryan oi a majority of them, bty and they are hereby authorifed and empowered to levy a county tax on said county, not exceeding the one third part of the general tax, and the tax colleftor of fold county (hall collcft said tax in the fame manner, and (hall re ceive the fame compensation, in proportion as he does the general tax. Sec. 2. And hi it further enabled, That the said court, be, and they are hereby au thorifed and empowered to colled and receive all or any monies that is or may become due said county, arising from the rent of the Gleab land, as aforefaid. Sec. 3, And he it further enabled, That the said jufiices of the said inferior court, be authorlfed to dispose of the monies arising from the tax and rent aforefaid, to the de fraying the county expences, to wir, clerk* of the courts, (hcrilF, repairing court-house, jail, bridges ami poor. Sac. 4. And be it further enabled, by the authority aforefaid, That all laws or parts of laws heretofore parted, that militate a gainst th's aft hr, and the. fame are hereby repealed. AN ACT ‘io alter and chn-tge the name of Thomas Keys, to that of Thomas Allen, WHERE AS by the petition of William Allen, it doth appear, that he hath lately intermarried with Sarah Keys, the mother of a male child, known by the name of Thomas Keys, of which child he is the reputed father; and wup.reas it is the wirti of said Allen, that the name of the said child, be altered and changed to that of Thomas Allen, BE it enabled by the Senate and Ifoufe of Reprefentatiaies of th<e State of Ge orgia, in General Assembly met, and it is enabled by the authority of the fame, That from and after the parting of this aft, the said child now called Thomas Keys, (hall be called and known by the name of Tho mas Allen.
