THE DAILY TIMES. THE CITY. Raise your own Fruit. What is a Farm really worth without a good orchard? How sadly deficient our Southern farmers are in this rscpect. AVc know of many worn out hill-sides which, if cultivated in good fruit, would not only add greatly to the value of the lands, but much to the comfort and happiness of the family. Even about residences, where you have only a small space of ground, it will pay well to put a few Apple, Peach and Pear Trees or Grape Vines. We would rejoice to see more of the spirit of fruit cultivation in this part of our own highly favored country. While on thissubjcct, it is proper to remind our readers that Messrs. Ellis & Mathis will some time soon receive a large assortment of grafted fruit trees, and we hope our readers will find no excuse for not obtaining a supply of selected fruit trees. New Advertisements. Our readers arc referred to the advertisement offering for sale a valuable residence in Wynnton. Any one wishing to buy a good horse and bug gy can be accommodated by calling on Messrs. Ellis & Mathis. DAILY COMMERCIAL RECORD. Columbus Times Office, Oct. 27.
