This in duced me to pay Messrs. Briggs &. Wood:—Dear Sir—ln the latter part of the year 1852, while attending the State and National Law School of the State ofNew York, my hair.from a cause unknown to me, commenced falling otfvery rapidly, so that in the short space of six months, the whole upner part of my scalp was altnrst entirely be re't of its covering, .and much of the remaining por tion on tiie side and back part of my head shortly af ter became gray, so that you will not he surprised when I tell you that upon my return to the State my more casual acquaintances were not so [much at a loss to discover the cause of the change in my appearance as my more intimate acquaintances were to recog nize m.e at all. 1 at once made application to the most skillful phy sicians in the country, hut receiving no assurance from them that my hair could again be restored, I was forced to become’recpnciled to my fate, until, fortu nately, in the latter part of the year 1857, your resto rative was recommended to rue by a druggist, as be ing the most reliable Hair Restorative in use. I tried one bottle, and found to my great satisfaction that it was producing the desired effect. This exhalation is evolved by the anion of sob.r heat *n wet soil, and rises with the watery vapor from it. While the sun is below the horizon this vapor lingers near the earth’s surface, and the /irtus is taken with it through the longs into the Mood. Tiiere it acts as an irritating poison on the internal viscera and excreting organs of the body. Tt-e liver becomes torpid and fails to secrete not only this virus, hut also the bile from thehlood. Both tiie virus and the bile accumulate in the circulation, ami produce violent constitutional disorder. The spleen, the kidneys, and the stomach sympathize with the liver, and become disordered also. Finally, the in stinct of our organism, as it in an attempt to expel the noxious infusion, concentrates the whole blood of the body in the internal exeretories to force them to cast it out. The blood leaves the surface, and rushes to the central organs with congestive violence. This isthechill. Butin this effort it fails. Then the Fev er follows, in which tiie blood leaves tiie centre! or gans and rushes to the surface, as if in an another effort to expel the irritating poison Hiouhgh that other great excretory —the skin In this also it fails, and the sys tem abandons the attempt exhausted, and waits far the recovery of strength to repeat the hopeless effort another day. These are the tits orparoyxysms of F fcVLR and Ague. Such constitutional disorder will of course undermine the health if it is not removed. We have Labored to find, and have found, an anti dote. Ayer’s Ague Cure, which neutralizes this malarious poison in the blood, and stimulates the liver to expel from the body. As it should, so it does cuye this afflicting disorder with perfect certainty. And it dees more, or rather does wliat is of more service to those subject to this infec tior. Ifjaken to season it expels it from the system as it is absorbed, and Unis keeps those who use it free from its attacks ; keeps the system in 1 e.rifh although exposed to the disease. Consequently it not only cures, but protects from the great variety of affections which are induced by this meiignant influence, such as Renittent Fever. Chill Fever, Dumb, or Masked Ague, Periodical Headache, or Bilious Headache, Bilioas Feyer, Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Gout, Blind ness, Tootache, Earache, Oatarrall. Asthma, Palpi tations, Painful Affections of the Spleen, Hysterics, Colic,Paralysis, andpainfnl Affections of the Stom ach and Bowels, all of which v hen arising from this cause, will be found to assume more or less th 3 in termittent type. -This “Ague Cibe” removes the cause ofthese derangements and cures the disease. Th.is it accompiises by stimulating the excretories to expel the virtue fioni the system ; and these organs by degrees become habited to do tli s their office of their own accord. Hence arises what we term accu mulation. Time may acconmiplish the same end, but often life is not longanougli, or in sacrificed in the attempt, while this “Ague Cuius” does it at once, and with safety. We have great reason to believe this is a surer as well as safer remedy for the whole class of diseases which are caused by the miasmatic infection, than any other which has been discoved ; and it lias still another important advantage to the public, which is, that it is cheap ft-s well as good, is, that it is cheap as well as good.
