Hoard can be had with the Principal and private
families of near residences on reasonable terms.
For f rther particulars send for a catalogue.
There are seven reasons why this School com
mends itself to public notice in preference to many
of our popular schools.
Ist. The healthfullness of the location.
2d. Its freeness from all the vices which tend to
allure the mind from deep and earnest application to
study.
3d. Tfe thoroughness and diligence to which the
student is subjected—-being taught that he has so
time to was'e
lh. Vocal music is a daily exercise, free of charge
in which the whole school join in the sweet accents
—which arouses the tired intellect, and restores elas
ticity to the drooping mind
sth. The efforts made to dev elope the mirdby the
use of practical instruction at the expense ol the
impractical
Gth. The deep interest manifested by the Teachers,
Trustees, and Citizens, gives it that social and lively
aspect, so harmonious to the youthful mind—ren
dering the school-house a pleasant resort to the stu
dent instead of a house of dread and hatred.
?th. The systematic manner in which the school is
conducted. ‘“Heaven’s first law” is adopted and
practiced. A 8. EDGERLY, Principal.

FEVER AND AGUE,
from which mankind, suffer over a large part of the
globe, is the consequence of ad sensed action in the
rystern. induced by tiie poisonous mineiu of vegeta
ble dqjjay Tins exiiaiauou is evo.vpd by the action
of sol .r heat Sn wet soil, aud rises with the watery
vapor irom it tVhil 'Ute sun is below the 110 izon
this vapor lingers near the earth’s surface ami the
virtas is taken with it through the lungs into the
aloud. There it acts as an irritating poison on the
internal viscera and excreting organs olthe body.
1 eliver become lor id and fails to secrete not only
this virus, but also the bile froth the blood, Both the
virus and tiie bile accumulate in the circulation, and
produce violent con titutional disorder. The spleen,
the kidneys, and the stomach sympathize with the
liver, and become disordered also. Finally, the in
stinct of our organism, 'as il in an attempt to expel the
noxkrusinfasiOn, concentrates the whole blood ofthe
body in the internal excretovies to force them to cast
it out. The blood leave# the surface, and rushes to
the central organs with congestive violence. This
is the chill. Butin this effort k fails. Then the Fev
er follows, in which the blood leaves the centrci or
gans and rushes to thesimhce. as if in an another effort
10 expel the irritating poison riiouhirh that other great
excretory—the skin In this also it fails, and the sys
tem abandons ihe attempt exhausted, and waits for
the recovery of strength to repeat the hopeless effort
another day. T hese are the lil3 orpajoyxysms of
f'EVER akd Ague Such constitutional disorder will
of course undermine the health it it is not removed.
We have labored to find, and have found, an anti
dote.
Ayer’s Ague Cure,
which neutral L esthis malarious poison in the blood,
aud stimulates the liver to expel from the body. As
it should, so it Coes cvyr. this alllicti’.g disorder with
perfec t certainty'. And it does more, or rather does
what is of more service to those subject to this infec
tior. If taken to season it expels it from the sy?tem
as it is absorbed, and thus keeps those who use it free
from itsatfacks; keeps the system in i.eaiih although ;
eiposedtothe disease. Consequently it not onlv |
cures, bnt protects frqtn the great variety Os affection's 1
which are induced by this meiignant influence, such
as Benittent Fever. Chill Fever, Dumb, or Masked
Ague, Periodical Headache, or Bilious Headache,
liilioas Foyer, Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Gout, Blind
ness, Tootache, Earache, Catarrah. Asthma, Palpi
tations, Fainful Affections of the Spleen, Hysterics,
Colic, Paralysis, aud painful Affections of the Stom
ach and Bowels, a!, of which \v hen arising from this
catife, will be found to assume more or less th.j in
teruiiUcnt typo. This “Aona Curb” removes the
cause of these .derangements audcuies the disease.
This it accomplices by stimulating the excretories
to expel the virtue fiom the system ; and these organs
by degrees become habited to do th s their office of
their own accord, lienee arises what we term am'i
raalation. Time may aesommpligh the same end, but
o lien life is not long enough, or in sacrificed in the
attempt, while this “ Ague CuitE” does it at once and
with safety. We have great reason to believe this is
a surer as well as safer remedy for the whole class of
diseases which are caused by the miasmatic infection,
than any other which lias been discoved ; and it ha?
still another important advantage to the public, which
is, that it is cheap as well as good
is, that it igcheap as well as good.
