GUNBOATS.
We call the attention ot our fellow-citizens to
the fact that there are now several lists for the
benefit of the Georgia Gunboat Fund, in the
hands of the Ladies, about S3OO in all have
been subscribed. The Ladies have also left a
list for subscription and a quantity of tine Jew
elry at the Book Store to be rallied for. the same
fund. Let all come forward and subscribe, or
take a chance at some of this Jewelry, and thus
with their offerings aid their country in its day
of peril.
There is nho a private list for the fund of the
Gunboat ••Palmetto State." Many Carolinians
here will feel a deep interest in this. Subscrip
tions received for it a few days longer at Mr.
Glover's Office, or at the Book Store.
THE GEORGIA CUOOAtF
LIB ERA L !
There is a liberal proposition now before
the citizens of Marietta, from a gentlenum
here: That if rorit persons can be found to give
SIOO each, for the Gunboat Georgia, he will be
the sth and make up SSOO. extra for this
fund. Names received at the Bookstore, and
let Marietta give this patriotic fund a Bumper.
