MOONEY’S BODY Was Carried to Columbus, Where it Will be Burned, Columbus, Ga., Dec. 10 —The remains of Oscar Mooney, the Central railway con ductor on the local freight between here and Birmingham who wds accidentally killed yesterday afternoon at Sylacauga. Ga., have been brought to Columbus, his home, and the funeral occurs today. At Sylacauga a caboose was detached from the rest of the train, being cut off in the customary manner. Mooney was stand ing on the car next to the caboose, which covered with white raised lace, which is ; again employed over white silk for the collar and chemisette. With this bodice is worn a French knotted fichu of silk gauze, the ends of which pass under the jeweled clasp which ; j fastens the bolero and are caught under 1 I the latter at each side seam. The proper j cut of this gown can be obtained only with ; the use of the cut pattern furnished by I Harper’s Bazar. It will require 6 yards of French cloth 54 inches wide to make this costume; also € yards of silk and 4% yards of sable trimming. The quantity of lace required will vary according to the width of the variety chosen. The accompanying hat is of dark green felt with magenta velvet bands and bow. and lighter green ostrich tips. ■ was slowly following the remainder of the train. The engine gave a sudden jerk. j and Mooney was thrown to the ground, ' and before he had time to get up the ca boose was upon him. He received injuries which resulted fatally. He was not baddy mangled, but his injuries were such that he died in half an hour. One of his arme were broken and he received internal in juries. A particularly pathetic feature of the accident was the fact that Captain Moon ey's brother. G. H. Mooney, was on the same train as flagman. He did not see the accident, but was on the scene a minute ( after it happened, and was agonized wit ; ness of his brother’s suflering and death. I Mr. Mooney was a well known railroad man. He has been a conductor for a num- Ibe rof years. He was about 38- years of | age. and is survived by a wife and three , children. His Life Was Saved. Mr. J. E. Lilly, a prominent citizen of Hjannibal, Mo., lately had a wonderful de liverance from a frightful death. Tn tell ing of ’it he says: ‘'l was taken with ty . phoid fever, that ran into pneumonia. My lungs became hardened. I was so ; woafy I couldn’t even sit up in bed. No r.h helped me. I expected to soon die of uotnsumption. when I heard of Dr. King’s New Discovery.
