A general expression of the views
ol tho gentlemen present was had, and
much information was elicited in rela

present ottered donations of large
tracts of laud near the city us an in
ducement to immigrants wishing to
settle here. The representation pf the
railroad interests in our city slso of
fered inducements to immigrants and
low rates as to transportation of
freight. Bremen or Hamburg will
piobubly be the Western port, and u
Southern part not yet decided on in
