The Bank of New York consents to net as a clearing house for the business of Friday, ou the basis oLgold at 35. Latxb.—The exeiicmeat in Wall street is very greal. A com nittee of the New York Clearing House examined the affairs of the Gold Exchange Hauk aud report that the ?e- earities and gold handed over by it to the Clearing Huuhcv arc adequate to cover the liabilitiiH. The Bank ot New York declines to undertake a settlement of Friday's trans actions. The Gold Room has appointed a committee of twenty to attempt it. The Stock Exchange was pauicy towards the close of the day. Many small firms are swept- out aod large firms weakened by the declines iu values, but up imp r ant'failures are officially announced. Ike National Stock Exchange has pul gold on its call list aud will t-ouimence dealing in it at ten lo-morrow. The money market was very .si ring cut at the close to day.
