Game abounds about there—wild turkeys

we ever saw or heaid of in the lower coun

sign is artistic, the workmanship masterly,
the combination of slaiued glass and carved
wood woik from trees of tbe forest in Naco »-
cbee valley—of different shades and colors,
beautifully harmonized, would be an admired
and attractive object in a city,—away there
in tbe mountains among the burial places of
the Indians, the effect is startling. The $itirt
and'chief architect is Mr lLtn Buren, tf
Clatkeaville. .
■ We cannot, in a shorf newspaper article*
elaborate the heauties of the fountaii a. the
summer house?, rnatio bridges, opting
house, billiard rooms. Ac., but there is
enough of the--beautiful massed there to at
tract visitors fn m far and near, and crowds
avail themselves of tbe opportunity of visiting
hoapituhle mansion.
In front of the house, three miles distant
rises old Mount Yonab, visible from Atlanta,,
oue hundred miles distant, its noble outline,
greatly enhancing a landscape of rare beau
ty. Within a few hundred yards runs the
lovely Chattahoochee, “painted rock," in
deed, where in its mountain home it is pure
aud placid, rattling over the rocks like a prat
tling child, and here a child might safely
wade it. But the love of gold even robs it
of its purity, and its fair waters are muddy
from the washings, two or three miles off
That there is gold, and that its search is
remunerative, is beyond a doubt. Mica ia
abundant. Several very pretty garnets have
been found in the neighorhood. Of the min*'
end wealth of the country, bat a poor es
timate can be formed, but the little that is
known would indicate ihaf Investigation As
well worth making.
The water power is great. The sites fer
manufacturing purposes are numerous and
excellent. It would be well if those in search
of locations for wool and cotton and paper
mills, would take this # section in a summer
tour. The falls are numerous and beautiful,
the Anna Ruby of great height and beauty,
are wonderful, and are- almost unknown to
tourists. Access to this lovely spot is not so
difficult for all tourists as it seemed to have
b cn for Mr Edward King. This summer
there is an excellent hofel at Clarkesville,
there are always good stables there, though
an unusual demand from swarms of visitors
during “the season" some times necessitates
our waiting for team’s from “The Adis/* or
some other place of interest. Tuccoa and
Tallulah Falls *are easily reached from
Clarkraville, and numerous other attractive
points are near there.
The Air-Line Railroad has done a great
work in opening tbe way through this mag
nificent scenery. The travel‘through North
Eastern Georgia this summer is immense
and increasing. This is the most pleasant
route to Western Carolina, and many who
cannot command the retinue of servants,
the carriages aud horses that used- to be re
quired for the oummersojourn in the conntry,
now accommodate themselves, with cheerful
resignation to the things that be, and aoeept
the more expeditious "and cheaper mode of
transit as a sort of compensation for the in
evitable.

We, the undersigned planters’rare witnessed the
operation of one oi your Erliflse Cotton Gina, which
we think superior to any other gin we have ever seen

Mr. Daniel P. Furgerson, of Jonestforo, Ga., writes
under date of October ID, 1872, a* follows:
I have your gin running. • * ♦ I can say it is the
best that I ever, saw run. It cleans the seed perfect!*.
I have been raised in a gin house, and I believel know
all about what should be expected in a fint-dan Cot
ton Gin. I can gin five hundred pounds of lint inside
of sixty minutes. The first two ginned weighed 1400
pounds, from 3,010 pounds seed cotton, bagging and
ties included.
Inrinton, Ga., October 2,1870.
Mr. P. C. Sawyer—Dear Sir • The Cotton Gin we got
from you, we are pleased to say, meets our fullest ex
pectations, and does all you promised it should do. We
have sinned one hundred and sixteen bales on it, and
it has never choked nor broken the roll- It picks the
seed clean and makes good lint. Wo have bad consid
erable experience with various kinds of cotton gins,
»Twt can, with safety, say yours is- the best ws nave -
