Iteforiniiig n Itulky Horse.
Tt was new to me. and was very ef
fective in the one ease in whieh I saw
it tried, lienee I .end yon a descrip
tion of an apparalil. designed to in
duce a l>alk> horse to reform his had
ways. A light, hut strong pole, lias
one end fastened to one end of a
whiflletreo—a steady horse being
worked on this end. The other end
of (he |iole extends to the head of the
troublesome horse, and is fastened to
trap passing around the nose and
through the hit ring.. If the horse
does not start promptly ami keep
abreast with his mate, he i. pulled by
the front and upper part of his mouth.
Whenever he starts forward he i- rc-
licved. In the ease in w hich 1 saw
tills tried, the horse hung hack for
...me three hours the iir.t day. per
haps an hour the next, and gradually
gave up after a shorter trial, until al
ter about a month he showed u>
of his bid habit, lie was pronounced
i unusually hard ease, having had

humane than flogging, or throwing
the horse, or than most of the plans
recommended for difliruli eases.—

The following on doing up fleece.,
gives the best directions for the w ork.
It is from tile M irliiyun Farmer:
The wool buyers prefer to have
ghi to handle and ela.-
. the wools of whieh State
liinled from two to three
than Michigan wools ol
the same quality, the sure rolled
up not packed, and tied across twice
one w ay and once the other, and lienee
are loose, light and elastic. A .lark-
son buyer, well known, who buys
large amount, of wind both in Michi
gan and Ohio every > ear. tell, u- that
he can afford to give two or three
rents more per pound for the woolhe
buys in Ohio, than those he purchases
in this State, solely because of the
difference in the ty ing up in the two
States; a. lie ran get more in tin
era market for wools that are pm u[
in Ohio, than lie can for the Michigan
wool., uud when, in fact the Michi
gan wool, are some.ime. the best in
quality. The proper way. lie say., i.
to lay the fleece on the (able, turn in
the head, tail and flanks, and roll it
up. commencing at the tail end. lying
it with two .(rings to keep the roll ill
place, and then with one stringarros.
the ends. This is .uflieient. A fleece
thus tied is light, easily handled end
