“Felton denounced Judge Lester

manner, ‘and if I can't get it oilier-
wise I shall have lonsk my friends to
invoke it !'

The excitement during the attack
was intense. Shouts for Felton and
Mister were continual. Lest
friends were very indignant, and
Felton’s very indignant. It was felt

make against my political record, sir,

sion, lie walked toward the doctor,
who still had his hack turned, and
brandishing his left arm before the
doctor's face—“if you assert or in
sinuate that one dollar ever entered
my pocket that did not go there le
gitimately, honestly and squarely, I
denounce y ou here to your face, in
the presence of these people, preacher
of the gospel as you are, as an tin
mitigated liar!”
At this llie applause was deafening.
