Extraordinary Farming.
Some time since we had Occasion to
mention I»r. W. C. Paschal's seven
acre patch of upland coni, which u
within the corporate limits of this
city. The corn was gathered last
Tuesday and measured forty-five
bushels per acre. Now, we call that
good farming. The Doctor made
enough corn on seven acres to run a
four or five horse farm another year.
Who can beat it ? Trot in vour fancy
patches, ail ye formers, and compare
with the Doctor. Last^ear he made
on a one Imrse farm, eighteen bales
of cotton. This year he will make at
least twenty bales on the same form.
Again, we ask, who can neat it? The
corn and rot-on was all raised within
the cor|K,rste limits of Dawson. The
Doctor is our next candidate for Gov
ern-ir.
Mr. Allen Lowrey, another one of
our citizens is a good 'former. He
will make on a one horwlann, over
fifteen bales of cotton. This is first-
rate forming, not so good as Doctor
Paschal*.
We advise our young farming
friends of Terrell county, who are
ilisatisfieil with the poor lands of this
-••rtinn, and want to take the advice
of Horace lireeley ami “go west,” to
call on Dr. i'a-s lial and learn a le-.on.
