Capt. B. R. Herty, of the Baldwin

braver man never lived. Oiff citizens
remember iiim well. He was present

pany, and won the admiration and
respect of all. Peace to his ashes.

are improving every opportunity lo
make their coming entertainment a
complete success. Every individual
member of the conipany seems eni-

the evening of Thursday, October
17th, are such as will aflord instruc
tion and amusement for all classes.—
The four new scenic views will he
-ompleted in ample time, and every
detail and stage effect will lie brought
out as heretofore mentioned. AVe

vantage of this entertainment over
liny that may he offered liv traveling
companies. It is gotten up by our
own citizens to aid a local and good
■ause, and the patronage, however
liberally bestowed upon them, will

Powell, eldest daughter of Rev. H
IL Felder, which occurred at the
residence of her husband in Monte
zuma, on Sunday morning last, at
five o’clock. Our whole community
grieved- and sorrowed at the an
nouncement, anil one and all tender
the deepest aud most heartfelt sym
pathy to the bereaved husband, father
and family. During tier residence of
a little over a year in our midst, she
gained tlie love and esteem of all who
knew her. Her whole soul and na
ture were filled with estimable qual
ities like the heavens are tilled with
bright stars. Just before she died
she said iu whispers, “Tell the people
of Albany good-bye. for I love them
all.” Yes, and they all loved her,
truly and tenderly.
