Mr. Clay’s Address from its great length,
and from a belief ihat to the readers of the
Courier it wou’d be unnecessary, as it
could add but little to their present con
victions of the falsehood of the alleged
charges against Mr. Clay. We were will
ing to have let the matter rest, where his
enemies left it—entirely to his advantage.
