From the firmness with which Wilhorne de
livered hrs intention, Malvoiain could expert no
quarter; and he felt that Heaven had at last
•healed his lingering and forlorn eateer, —and a
ricki’iiing sensation seemed to pervade his whole
flame, —he felt as if death had alieai'y laid his
icy hand upon his heart, and hid it cense to
throb —Rut with a mighty struggle lie shook off
these deVious phantoms, nod with a heavy sigh
