the other creditors ns well as the Mortgagees

[PURCHASED a Negro Boy. about the first
iley of the present year from a gentleman in
Hamburg by the name of Robert Boyce, lie re
presented the boy to me as a negro «/ good char
aeter. Tile Boy has runaway from my planta
tion. in Talbot County about the 25th of last
month, and I atu informed by the rest of my
uegroes, he said if he could get to Augusta he
would he safe, he was taken up and put in jail,
in Knoxville, Craw-fltd County, and by some
neglect of the jailor lam informed he got out
and made his escape, he is about 18 or ly years
of age, about 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, a little
yellow complected and has a tolerable long
mouth rather inclia< and to stick out, had on when
he left, pantaloons and inund jacket of coarse
cotton Cloth of a light brown ctdoi nod a fur
hat. tolerably worn of the bellcrown fashion.
1 will give $5 reward to any person that will
apprehend said negro and lodge him in jail and
send me notice-to Rockville Post Office, Putnam

to me, in Columbia county, or if lodged in anv
Jail so that 1 get him again. It is believed he is’
lurking about AtiL'iHta and Savannah—and it is
likely that when caught he would not tell his
