WHY the Utlion Hotel Properly Lottery, is offered to the public! is frequently ask <>d ; and that the whole matter is not well enough particularized. The Proprietor finding himself involved Mortgaged his landed Estate to one, and his Negroes to another, (t.vo of the oldest) of his creditors. With this view that if he could noj be abl. to raise the mortgages, that he would in 'such events take the bestcourse with his Pro petty to pay bis debts. Or in other words pay the other creditors as well as the Mortgagees. Accordingly with him as with others, his reason able views failed. And in order to do justice te others of his creditors, as well as the Mortga ges; He has offered his property in the plan now before the public. The propert/ has been valued by four highly distinguished and disinterested gentlemen at $30,000— and divided into four thousand whole Tickets at five dollars each. Reference to the Scheme for the Prizes and their discretion. — Also the creditors appointed, under seal, six highly distinguished and disterested gentlemen to attend ns Assignees, and the public sanctioned die whole ike. Now if the Proprietor shall fail by the second of nest month to sell Tickets enough to'pay the two MOl tgages, (which is less than half the whole amount of the said stock,) then the Lot fpry must fail, and but little more will he be able to pay than the said, Mortgages and he be left judebt with a wife and six small chijdreo with neither property nor credit. But on the other Juud, If lie sells his Tickets sufficient and above to pay the Mortgages then his other cre ditors will be materially benefited, and he will be enabled with his stock to pay hU debts. And tho’ he will have no property, he will be clear of debt ; and he trusts reclaim his credit. The great anxiety of the proprietor to sell his „ Tickets—rests on this, to do justice to his other creditors as well as his two Mortgagees, and to ' pay bis debts with a property at least worth A -"morethan it is offered at If thou wert indebt instead of die Then I would Iniy of tliee, But I am indeht instead of tlfee, Then come aud buy of me. , And by said purchase let me say * Vou make a fortune every day. Then Hasten, the Tickets to buy, Or my Credits, me will nullify !!!!! * Big Prizes Union Hotel—sl2,Boo. J B. BAT F.M AN, Propr itlor. The Creditors of the late firm of Bateman fe Duncan and of J. B.
