tering orders, fines and other miscellaneous

Canvass Bags, Locks and Keys, and with all
the incidental duties. A clerk shall be assigned

Accounts, Locks, Keys. Post Office Lists, Laws,

IN Jacksonboro’, Scriven County, on the sth
February last, a Negro Woman, SARAH,
about 30 or 35 years old, dark complexion and
has lost her fore teeth, says she belongs to one
William White, a Negro speculator, that she
runaway about first Feb. from her master in
Hamburg, Soutb-Carolina,and that her master
had recently brought her from Maryland.
The owner is requested to come forward, pay
expences, prove the Negro to be his and take

Running from btriem, N. C\ to tVythe C. House
in Virginia, three limes a week and back.
THIS Line starts from Salem every Monday,
Wednesday and Friday at s o’clock, A. Mi
and arrives at Wythe Court‘House at 6 o’clock,
P. M. the next day. At the same hour that the
Stages leave Salem, they also leave Wythe Court
House and arrive at Salem at 5 o’clock P. M.
on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This
Line is so arranged as to correspond in its ar
rivals at Wythe Court House, with the arrivals of
the Great Lines leading through the valley of
Virginia.—lt also correspond in its arrivals at
Wythe Court House with the arrivals of a tri
weekly line running between that place and the
Salt Sutplnir, the Red Sulphur It White Sulphur
Springs in Virginia, which has been lately estab
lished.—At Salem it corresponds with the ar
rivals of Smith’s PiedmentLine, and the Raleigh
Line, both of which run three times a week. The
Route passsees within a mile of the Pilot Moun
tain through Bcthnnia Betbubara by Mount Air
y, crosses the Blue Ridge at Ward’s Gap, goes
by Poplar Camp Furnace and the Lead Mibes of
Wythe, and affojdg some interesting scenes .to
those that admire the sublimity of nature. The
accommodations of'diet, lodging. &c. are excel
lent and cheap. The subscriber hesitates not to
recommend his teams and drivers an first rate.
His coaghes are most excellent—being rfewly
procured from Troy, New-York.
Fare through the whole route 5 dollars—way
passengers cents a mile.

LOST CHILD.

ALII ILE GIRL, five years old, with fair
skin, bine ryes, light hair, and a remark
ably pleasant countenance, named CAROLINE
HAWKINS BULLOCK, who can read very
well, was lost on the IGtli March, six miles cast
of Couriland, ucar the roatl leading to Decatur.
Hundreds of men have searched in every direc
lion throughout the neighborhood, and no trace
of her can be found. The above reward will be
given lor her delivery, and any Information re
specting her whether dead or alive, thankfully
received.
