Good Titles to prize holders, were not published by the superintendants, till the Bth day of last ..September, (the time the Lotterry truly came before the Public) to be drawn the 24th day of December thereafter. It was then postponed tiH the 2d day of this month, and from casualties could not be drawn. Whereas, the circulation of Bank Bills of a small denomination, has been produc tive of fraud and loss to the public, and has a tendency to .prevent or retard the General and speedy restoration of "a spe cie cureeucy. Be it therefore enacted by the ’Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Georgia in general assembly met, and 1 it is hereby enacted by the authority of ■the same, That from and after -the firs': day of September next, it stall not be law ful for any Bank or body corporate, in vested «itb banking privileges, or person or persous whomsoever, within the limits of this Slate to issue, emit, pay away, pass or circulate any bank Bill, Note, Ticket,, or paper, purporting to be a Bank Note,; or of the nature, character or nppearanoei of a Bank Note, or calculated lor circula tion as a Bank Note, cither of the Banks of this State or of any other State, of a less denomination than Five dollars.— JProvidcd, that nothing herein contained shall be so construed, as to make it unlaw ful for any corporation or persoo or per sons whomsoever, to present for pay ment, or in any ot'hcr mode, transmit firr redem rion to any Bank either of this or any o ther Stale,any Bill or Bills of such Bank of the denomination aforesaid, remaining in circulation after the .irne aforesaid, with the view and in the mode to stop the future circulation thereof.
