It is unquestionably a national measure recommended by experience and reasoning and fondly called for, to the advancement of our national prosperity. VORKEXCHANGE DANK. On Saturday a merchant in this city shewed Us a counterfeit five dollar bill ol Barker’s exchange bank of New-York.—1 is much better executed than counterfeit* usually are, and at first sight was thought to im superior ih appearance to the genu* ine bills. The principal error is in the ' device, which, on examination, is found not to be well executed; and the words •‘New-York,*’are not so well done a* the original.
