numbered 114, 135 and 70), letter A. payable to
Jn: Cunirning, or bearer, and dated, (he two first,
Savannah. 11th N*»v. 1816, and the latter IQtli
F. b. 1817, signed Wm. li. Bulloch, president, aim
Kleazar Early, cashier, all of the bank of the state
of Georgia, hereby gives notice that he has depo
sited the (eft hand halves thereof, with the cashier
ofi aid bank, and that payment will he applied
for after the expiration of three months.

Ogechee Canal Company.
(The act of incorporation was unfit* d in the
Georgian of yesterday.}
The iloi’Ks of Subscription for the said Canal
Companv will be opened, at the Insurance Office,
on Monday, the 22d instant, and will continue
open until the Saturday following, each day from
the hours of 12 to 2 o’clock.
The capital w II fur the present be one hon
dred thcm-unt! dollars, divided into lOOo shares
of l(tf» dollars, 750 of which shares kre allotted
for Savannah, and 250 for-Louisville, at which
place, on the same day will be opened a book of
subscription, which will be closed on the same
<iay as that in Savannah—viz Saturday, the 27th
inst. At eaeli pF.ce ten per cent, or ten dollars
per share wall be required to be paid down at the
umr of subscription, and the balance thnrof, on
the call of the board of directors to be elected by
the subscriber**, on due notice and instalments not
exceeding 25 per cent at each call.
No permn will be allowed to subscribe in any
name irnre than twenty shares, and in case <>f any
excess of subscription, the *harca shall ht fairly
apportioned. If at the last hour of closing the
books, the required amount of shares, shall not
have been subscribed, any person or persons shall
be at liberty to subscribe for the balance thereof.
Receipts for the amount paid in each share will
he granted, to serve bntii they can be exchanged
for regular stock certificates.
