from a quarter before 1 until the morning. A cerrinel is at all times placed in front 0

It will evidently appear Irom the foregoing statement, that the difference in the re
ceipts for the year* ending 10th July 18» end loth July 1833, ha* not been great, when
it. it recollected, that the receipts of 1833, ware increased by a loan of £30,000, and the
receipts of 1833 by the collection of a large amount of taxes due the city in 1819,1130,

Exmawos.—The Savannah Exchange was erected in the year* 1799,1800, .1801, and
ISOS. It was built by *n association of gentlemen who divided the stock into shares,
and paid for by instalment*, aa required by the Company. Tbo Corporation were the
original subscribers for twenty Bve share*. On the tenth day of April eigtbaen bun

pectfully suggested to the consideration of Council, particularly during the
months, when many hoases are unoccupied, or left in charge of a servant.
Jail.—On the twentieth day of February last the control of the Jail wu vested ii
