and equipping the whole body of the militia ot
the United State*, by which act the distribution
of small arms and accoutrem nts, and artillery
will be regulated in proportion to the actual
strength of the several states and Territories.—

of defence, should bejremoved withoir delay—the
Mujor Genetal orders and directs Brigadiers Gen
eral Hardv.h and Taylor of the first and second

their respective commands for the years afore-
