their appearance at tbe succeeding term of
the court aforesaid.
Sec S. And be it further enacted, That
upon such debtor or debtors tendering such
bond or bonds.it sbsll be the duty of such'
sl'eriffi deputy, or constable, as the cast
may be, to release him, her, or them, from
co nfinement or custody, any, law usage or
custom to the contrary notwithstanding
Seo. 3. Aod be it further enacted, That
to enable the honest debtor tbe more easily
tq obtain the security required in the first
section of this act, it shall bejawlut fur thr
said security, at the coart to which the prih
eipal is bound to appear, to surrender in
open court,.said principal in discharge of
the security: and for the purpose of making
the surrender, the security is hereby au
thorised to exercise all the power which by
law special bail have over their principal.
Sf.o. 4. And be it further enacted, That
upon the appearance of such debtor or
debtor* at the court to which be is bound to
appear, it abaU be lawful for him her or
them, either to person or by attorney, to
move the court to be admitted to take the
oath prescribed for the relief of insolvent
debtors, or to swear to the schedule pre
viously filed with the clerk of said court, a
gteeably lo tbo provisions of this set here
inafter contained, And it ahall be the duty
of said court, upon such debtor or debtors'
making it appear to them at least ten days
notice baa been given in writing to bis, bar
or their creditors of tbe intention to avail

or concealment of any properly, money or

if either ol the parties shall be unprepared
for the trial of such issue, the epurt liny

westward. Just before the appearance of
an easterly storm, they gather in the S. W
and S. S. \V anti if a glim (as the sailors
call it) in the N E. and N. N. E their ap
pearance in the iky indicate a N E. storm
of snow or rkin. AU great storms, whether
snow or rain, begin to the westward, and
adrance gradually to the castwad, along the
coast of America. A strong S W. wind in
the upper regions of itt atmosphere, atten
ded with a N. E. or opposite wind lijow,
is commonly accompanied with luw flying
clouds, winch drire before the wind, while
tbe higher cfouds go a contrary direction.
Ship roasters and pilots, on leaving the
eosst, outward bound, may notice, that to
long as these higher clouds do not gather
and thicken io the W. orS. \V. so long
heavy or long storm of snow or rain wiil
beep off. Any rain or foul weather that pro
cecds from winds that rise from the cast
ward, and drive befuro the wind to the
westward, is of short duration.
