peared in this paper, under date 31st ult —I
have to remark, that hit statement is false and' er
roneous, in as much, thst 1 was never asked to sell
out, or make anv assignment of property belong,
ing to me—neither . was 1 asked to dissolve our
connection in partnership, which was to be con
tinued for three years from 3d Oct. 1822, under
bonds—and this Co-partnership has never been
revoked. The assignment he alludes to in his
niece, 1 know nothing about. The state of my
neallh was such for many w&nks before I left
here for the north, to unable me to perform any
transaction in business. 1 therefore protest a
gainst L. H. Bonnel having any right to seUtle any
account of the firm without my consent .
