tion of this, river, from the frequent practice of
removing quantities of sand from the lop of the
Jliiffi'ann in order to prevent the working down
•< quantities of sand into the river, thereby injur
ing tht wharves.
Ue it therefore ordained by the Mayor and Al-
l rmen in council assembled, and it is hereby or
tlained by the authority of the same, that i! shall
not be lawful for any person or person:), whatso-
ever to reffiovt any s*nd from the bank of staid
bluff, for the purposes of mixing with lime or to
fill up any place, except it be from below said

Sec. 3. And be it further ordained by theau

U PON the petition of Susan N. Niemcfewier,
praying the foreclosure of the equity of re
demption of and in all that tract or parcel of land;
situate on the little Ogeeche river in Chatham
•county, contain two hundred and seventy acres,
adjoining lands of William Shuther?, now Rose’s,
tp the we>t, to the -ast and south, lands of Franciu"
. H. Macleod, Spencer and Wilson, and to the
north a c.eek known as the south brunch of the
little Ogeechee, together with the improvements
thereon, to.secure the payment of six several
.bonds, executed by the said John Habersham,' in
his lifetime, together with one Francis H. Mae-
Icod, md bearing date on the 15th March, 1819,
and stating that there is now due on the slid
bonds, the sum of f t,350 of principal, with in«
forest from foe 15tn March, 1817.
On motion of Richard W. Habersham, atton-
ney for th Petitioner—It is ordered, that th*
principal interest and cost, dqe on stud mqrt*
gage, be paid into Court within twelve mouths
from this date, or that otherwise the equity of
redemption in the said mortgaged premises be
foreclosed from thenceforth, and that such fur
ther and other proceedings take place, as are in
purauaniee of the statute'of Georgia in such case
made aiid provided. • •
And ills further ordered, that this role be
published in one of t^e Gazettes of the city of
Savsrtliih, at least iititie a month for twelve
