* mg that Thomas R Broom, by his certaiii
writing obligatory, bearing date on the sixth day
of Jane 1822, acknowledged himself to beheld
and firmly bound and obliged in him in the penal
sum of eight hundred dollara, conditioned for the
payment of the sum of four hundred dollars ori
or before the first day of Jilne 1823, and (hat for
i he better securing to him the payment of the
said sum of money, the said Thomas It. Broom
by his certain deed of mortgage bearing even
date with the said bond* had mortgaged to him
all that lot or parcel of land in Chatham county
and state aforesaid, known in tha n'nn of the said
count), as Garden lot number eighty, (80) e:iat;
containing eleven and one half acres more or
less, bounded on the north by ihe Thunderbolt
road and lands nf James Bilbo, on the south by
lands of John Screven, ami on the west by a
road leading to lands of col. James Johnson and.
others—and further stating that there is now duo
and unpaid on the suH bond and mortgage ihe
principal sun; of four hundred dollars With in-
forest from the sixth day of June; eigli'een hun-
dred and twenty two, arid praying the foreclo
sure of the equity of redemption of the said
Thomas R Broom, in and to the said mortgaged
premises On motion of Habersham, attorney
for the petitioner, it is ordered, that the princU
pal and interest due oq the said mortgaged pre-
misfes, together with the costs of this applicntioii
oe paid into this court, within twelve monthrf
from this date,-or otherwise that the equity of red
lemptionof the said Thomas R. Broom in the
