O N the petition of William T. Williams stst-
ing that Thomas R Broom, by his certain
writing oblit atory, bearing date on the sixth day
of June 1822, acknowledged himself to be hold
and firmly hound and obliged in him in the penal
sum of eight hundred dollars, conditioned for the
payment of the sum of four hundred dollars on
or before tlte first dny of June 1823, and that for
the better securing to him the pavmeot of the
said sum of money, the said Thomas It. Broom
by hiB certain deed of mortgage bearing even
date with the said bond, had mortgaged to him
all that lot or parcel of laud in Chatham county
and slate aforesaid,known ih tits p 1 --

leas, bounded on the north by the ThtinderbpR
road and lands of James Bilbo, on the south by
lands of John Screven, and on the west by ft

principal sum of four hundred dollars with in-
terest from the sixth day of June, eighteen hun
dred and twenty two, and praying the foreclo
