t Representatives of the State of Georgia m Gene
ml Assembly met. That it shall be the duty of the
1 tgistrates who shall preside at the several Elec
i ft ns to be held in the different counties of this
State for the choice of members of the Legists*
'ire, at the next General Election therein, to
uropnse to each and every voter at the time ot
receiving his vote, whether lie deiir s that th*
choice of said Electors shall be confided to the
people or ret lined by the Legislature, and to re
quest such voter lo signify such desire by ett
lorsingonhis ticket, the word People or Legista
(ure, according to the truth of the fact; and on
counting out the ballots, to annex to the return
of the said election by them so transmitted to the
Executive Department, a true statement of the
votes so given, to the end that the same may be
laid before tlte next Legislature by bis Excellen
cy the Governor.
And be it further resolved, That his Excellency
the Governor be, and he is hereby requested to
cause this resolution to be published without de
lav, in the several Gazettes of this State, and t<
tontinue the said publication once a month, unti
he next General Election.

O N the petition of William T. Williams stat
ing that Thomas R Broom, by his certs'n
-vriting obligatory, bearing date on the sixth da)
of June 1822, acknowledged himself to be hel<
. nd firmly bound and obliged in him in the penu
sum of eight hundred dollars, conditioned for tht
payment of the sum of four hundred dollars on
or before the first day of June 1823, and that for
the better securing to him the payment of the
-aid sum of money, the said Thomas K. Broun
by his certain deed of mortgage bearing even
date with the said bond, had mortgaged to bin
all that lot or parcel of laud in Chatham county
and state aforesaid, known in the plan of the sido
county as Garden lot number eighty, (80) east
containing eleven and one half acres more oi,
less, bounded on the north by the 'Thunderbolt
i-oad and lands of James Bilbo, cm. the south by
l.,nds of John Screven, and onj the west by a
i-o»d leading to lands of col. James-ilohnson and
others—and further stating that there is now due
and unpaid on the said bond and mortgage the
principal sum of four hundred dollars with in
terest from the sixth day of June, eighteen hun.
dred and twenty two, and praying the foreclo
sure of the equity of redemption of the said
Thomas H. Broom, in and to the.said mortgaged
premises ■ On motion of Habersham, attorney
for the petitioner, it is ordered, that the princi-
pal and interest due on the said mortgaged pre
mises, together wjth the costs of this application
tje paid into this court, within twelve months
t’rcfln this date, or otherwise that the equity of res
demption of the said Thomas R. Broom in the
said mortgaged premises be from thenceforth
foreclosed, and that such further and other pro
ceedings thereon take place as may be in pursu
ance of the statute in such case made and pro
vided. And it is further ordered, that this rule
be published in one or more of the Gazettes of
the city nf Savannah, once a month for twelve
months previous to the time appointed for the
payment of the said money, or that a copy there-
of, be served upon .the said Thomas R. Broom
