Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Be
presematives of the State of Georgia, in General
\sitembly met, . <nd it is hereby enacted by the
authority of the same. That where any person or
tenon* hav.- heretofore had surveys made on
lead rights, bounty warrants and grants thereon
have not been obtained, it shall and may be law
ful for such person or persons to apply for and
obtain such grant or grants, at a«y time previous
to the 25th of October, eighteen hundred and
twenty'our, on payment of .he usual f<»*-s..

.fore been made on head rights or bounty war
rants, and grunts thereon have not be-n obtained,
such land shall not be subject to a re survey until-
three months from and dh-r the person or per-
sons claiming under ihe original.survey shall have
buen notified that such re survey is intended to
be made, and that in all cases, the person rfr per-‘
*;vis claiming.under the original -urvey, shall be
entitled to llie preference of making speh re snr-
ve >| until the expiratiunof three months from tin:

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted”, That it shall
be the duty.of all surveyors who shall .make *ny

veyor General, that due notice according to the
provisions of > bis act had been given, and no grant
obtained on -oich re survey shall be ,v did, unless',
accompanied with such certificate Provided,
nothing in this act shall afire* (he rights of orphans
or persons under the age of 31 yhars, and that all
such persons shall h« allowed one year after they
arrive at the age of 21 years to take ouj mejr
grants.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That it shalj
be the duty of the Governor to cause this act td
be published in one of the newspapers in. Mill,
edge- ihe, Augusta and Savannah, once in each
month, until the expiration of the time appointed
by the same for taking ou; grania.
Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, fhat all laws
and paVtaof laws militating against this act be
and the same are hereby repealed:
