colonel Daniel Heyward, dec. situate on the east side of
the Sava|pah back-river, twelve miles from the city, and
contiguous to the lands of Thomas Gibbons, esq. The
tract consists of a total of 2126 acres, being divided in*
to pretty equal proportions of tide-swamp, pine-barren
cotton and provision lands. Of the former there are,
j about 3oil acres on the river, wliich, by clearing, would
be well calculated for a productive rice plantation; and
of 4ne latteb, with a large body of clewed provision
land, there are. about 100 acres of prime uncleared cot
ton land. On the place there is an excellent dwelling-

Absconded on the 17th of this month^a m.*n slave named
Billt, who was purchased from captain David Page, in
Savannah. Billy is a stout well set fellow, rather tallj
has a scar on the left-cheek, from the effeets of a rising,
a native of Georgia, and very black Captains of tessela
and others are cautioned against harboring or taking said
fellow off, (as that is known to be hisintentkm) as they
will be prosecuted to the utmost rigor.
