City Marshal’s sales.

* between the usual hours of 10 o’clock in the forenoon,

All that wharf lot No. 6 and buildings, Reynolds ward,
so much thereof as will satisfy the tax of the estate of
Jjucholas Anciaux, for the year 1816, and costs.
Also, all that lot No. 10 and buildings, 4th tything
Reynolds ward, or so much thereof as will satisfy the city
tax of Simon Jackson, for the years 181/9, 10, 11, 12,13,
J.4, 15, and 16, and costs.
Also, all that wharf lot No. 9, or so much thereof as
null satisfy the city tax of Abraham Twiggs for the year
1316, and costs.

Reynold# ward, or so much thereof us will satisfy the
city tal of Archibald Smith, for the ye ar 1811, and costs.
Also, all that lot No. 4, Sloper tything, Perceval ward,
or so much thereof as will satisfy the city tax of Mi's.

Also, buildings on lot No. 25, old Franklin ward, or
so much thereof as will satisfy the city tax of the estate
Thomas Pitt, for the years 1815 and 1816, and costs.
Also, buildings on letter O, Heathcote ward, or so
much thereof as will satisfy the city tax of David Leion,
fbrthe year 1815, and costs.
Valuable Lands for safe#
Four hundred and fifty acres, prime tide swamp, ort
the Savannah Back River, situated about ten miles above
the city, well adapted to the culture of rice or the sugar
cane; upwards of one hundred acres now under dam, and
cultivated by James Ancram, esq.
Also, a tract, containing upwards of three hundred
acres, adjacent to the above tract—this tract will be
worthy the attention of the owner of the river swamp,
having some convenient buildings on it; it also contains
a good proportion of high pine land, and the balance is
well adapted to the culture of cotton and provisions—
also, a swamp, abounding with cypress and other valua
ble timber.
Also, a tract, containing five hundred acres, situated
on Savannah River, a few miles above Purysburgh, know n
by the name of Bear Bluff—this tract is very valuable, as
it abounds with white oak and oilier timber, suitable for
the Savannah market.
Also, two tracts of jane Land, in the vicinity of Purys
burgh, well timbered.
The whole of the property will be sold on easy and

Notice.
To be sold, at public auction, in front of the court
house, in the city of Savannah, on thfc first Tuesday in
January next, one thousand acres of prime land, situate
on the soutli branch of Turtle river, Glynn county—the
joint property of the Union Society, Chatham Academy
and the Savannah Poor-House and Hospital Society,
which tract of land was originally granted to the Bethes-
dx College. Any person who feels disposed to embark
largely in tbc Cultivation of cotton, corn or sugar-cane,
would find this a most eligible situation. The grants can
be seen by applying at the office of Lloyd Sc Morrison,
in the Exchange. Terms of sale—one half cash, the ba
lance in one year, with interest from the date of pur
chase, secured by bond and mortgage, on the premises.

high, thin visage, a scar on one of her cheeks, from 40
to 45 years old, speaks smooth and plain, and pretty

or to any gaol in Georgia or South-Carolina, shall receive

From the subscriber, about a year ago, a country born
negro man named Ben, twenty-five years of age, black
complexion, one of his little fingers is remarkable, being
very crooked, occasioned by a burn when he was a child;
he is very artful, and should he be taken will endeavor
to escape: he worked on the fortifications at Savannah,
and when that work was stopped, he marched into die
woods. He has out with him a negro woman named
Juba, late the property of Mrs. Almv, now of judge
Berrien, as I have been informed.. This wench I am told
has relations, (bv whom they are harbored) at Mr. Wald-
burgher’a plantation.
Twenty Dollars’ reward will be paid to any person
who will lodge said negro T?cn in the gaol of this coun
