Bank of the United Stated
Notice is hereby given to the subscribers, to the capital
of the Bank of the United States, at Augusta, that the
commissioners appointed by the President oftiie United
States to receive tiie said subscriptions, are duly author
ised by the President and Directors of the Bank of the
United States to receive the second instalment of the
said subscriptions, to wit; on each share of the said capital,
ten dollars in gold or silver coin and twenty-five dollars ill
coin asaforesaiu, or in funded debt, at the rates prescrib
ed by th»“ act of incorporation, with a power of attorney
annexed to the certificates of the said funded debt pro
portion, authorising the Loan Officer for 'the time being-,
at whose office the'said funded debt shall stand recorded,
(or tiie register of the tr> usury of the United States, if
the stock shall stand on the books of the treasury) to
transfer the same in due form of law, to the President, Di
ytetors and Company of the Bank of the Unit edyS tales;
that the said commissi-riers, as agents of the Bank, will at
tend at the Bank of Augusta, between the hours of nine
o’clock in the forenoon, and two o’clock in the afternoon,
daily, and every day, (Sundays excepted) from the 1st
of January next ensuing, to the 23d of same month, both
days inclusive, for the purpose of receiving the payments
as aforesaid; and that the subscribers at their option, may
either pay the said second instalment at the original place
of subscription, within the time herein limited; or at
the Bank of the United States at Philadelphia.

Bank of Georgia.
It being deemed expedient by the Board ot Directors,
that another Instalment of the Stock of the Bank of the
Itate of Georgia should be called in, and that the Stock
holders should be required to pay a proportion thereof
in specie.
Notice is hereby given, that, agreeably to a resolution
of the Directors of this date, twenty-three per centum
on each share, of the Stock of the Bank, is required to
be paid by the Stockholders, on or before the second
Monday in December next; that five dollars, in specie,
be paid on each share, as part of the said twenty-three
per cent, and the balance in bills of either of tiie Banks
of Georgia.
The Stockh riders ..re further notified, that Cashier’s
Certificates of Stock will be issued >n lieu of .he Com
missioners’ Certificates, held by the Stockholders, upon
the delivery of the Comnt.ssioners’ Certificates, at the
time of pay ing the Instalment, as above required,
fgj Western Stockholders are informed, that they may pay
said Instalment, and receive their Stock Certificates, on
delivering the Commissioners’ Certificates, at either of
the Offices established at Augusta and MilledgeviUe, so
soon as they shall be in operation, which willl be in a

Additional Notice.
BANK OF GEORGIA.
Whereas, it is represented, that it will be more con
venient to many of the Stockholders, tiiut the time pre
scribed for the payment of the Instalment of twenty-
three per cent, which includes the five per cent of specie,
directed by the board, on the 20th September, 1816,
should be extended.
Resolved unanimously, That the time be, and the same is
hereby extended to the second Monday in January next,
and that the Cashier give notice, that the said Instalment
is required to be paid on or before the said second Mon
day in January next.
