Notice is hereby given to the subscribers, to the capital ®f the Bunk of the United States, at. Augusta, that the commissioners appointed by the President of tite United States to receive the said subscriptions, are duly author ised by the President and Directors of the Bank of the United States, to receive the second instalment of the said subscriptions, to wit; on each share of the said capital, ten dollars in gold or silver coin and twenty-five dollars in coin as aforesaid, or in funded debt, at the rates prescrib ed by the act of incorporation, with a power of attorney annexed to the certificates of tilt said funded debt pro portion, authorising the Loan Officer for the time being, at whose office the said funded debt shall stand recorded, (or the register of the treasury of the United States, if the stock shall stand on the books of the treasury) to transfer the same in due form of law, to the President, Di rectors and Company of the Bank of the United States; that the said commissi.ners, as agents of the Bank, will at tend at the Bank of Augusta, between the hours of tone o’clock in the forenoon, ,.iul two o’clock in the afternoon, daily, and every day, (Sundays excepted) from the 1st of January next ensuing, to the 23d of same month, both days inclusive, for the purpose of receiving the payments as aforesaid; and that the subscribers at tlieir option, may either pay the said second instalment at the original place of subscription, within the time herein limited; or at the Bank of the United States at Philadelphia. It being deemed expedient by the Board ot Directors, .hat another Instalment of the Stock of the Bank of the ■ Utate of Georgia should be called m, and that the Stock holders should be required to pay a proportion thereof in specie. Notice is hereby given, that, agreeably to a resolution of the Directors of tins date, twenty-three per centum on each share, of the Stock of tiie Bank, is required to be paid by the Stockholders, on or before the second Monday in December next; that live dollars, in specie, be paid on cacti share, as part of the said twenty-three per cent, and the balance in bills of either of the Hanks of Georgia. The Stockholders are further notified, that Cashier’s Certificates of Stock will be issued .n lieu of .he Com- missioners’ Ceitificates, held by the Stockholders, upon the delivery of the Commissioners’ Certificates, at the time of pal ing the Instalment, as above required. ^Western Stockholders are informed, that thee may pay said Instalment, and receive their Stock Certificate s, on deliv' ring the Commissioners’ Certificates, at either of the Offices established at Augusta and Milledgeviile, so soon as they shall be in operation, w Inch wiill be in a snort time. Whereas, it is represented, that it will be more con venient to many of the Stockholders, that the time pre scribed for the payment of the Instalment of twt nty- three per cent, which includes tbe five per cent of specie, directed by the board, on the 20th September, la!6, should be extended. Resolved unanimously, That the time be, and the same is hereby extended to the second Monday in January next, and that the Cashier give notice, that the said Instalment is required tc be paid on or before the said second Mon day in January next.
