Bank of the United States.
Notice is hereby given lo the subscribers, to the capita’,
ef the Bank of theUnited States, at Augusta, that the
commissioners appointed by the President ot the ni <-(
States to receive the said sulvacnptions, are duly auUiov-
ised by the President and Directors of the Bank ot the
United States, to receive the second instalment ot the
said subscriptions, to wit; on eafch share of the said capi-al,
ten dollars in gold or silver coin and twenty.five dollars in
coin as aforesaid, or hi funded debt, at the rates prescrib
ed by the act of incorporation, with a power ot attorney
annexed to the certificates of the said funded debt pro
portion, authorising the Loan Officer J or the time bemg
at whose office the said funded debt shall stand recorded,
for the register of the tr. usury oi the United .Stales, it
the stock shall stand on the books oi the treasury) to
transfer the same in due form oi law, to the President, Di
rectors and Company of the Bank of the United States;
that the said commissi tiers, as agents oi the Bank, will at
tend at the Bank of Augusta, between the hours ot nine
o’clock in the forenoon, and two o’clock in the afternoon,
daily, and every day, (Sundays excepted) from the 1st
of January next ensuing, to the 23d ot same month, bo.h
days inclusive, for the purpose ot receiving the payments
as aforesaid; and that the subscribers at their option, may
either pay the said second instalment at the original place
of subscription, within the time herein limited; or at
the Bank of the United States at Philadelphia.

Additional Notice.
BANK OF GEORGIA.
Whereas, it is represented, that it will be more con
venient to many of the Stockholders, that the time pre
scribed for the payment of the Instalment of twenty-
three per cent, which includes the five per cent of specie,
directed by the board, on the 2uth September, 1816,
should be extended.
Resolved unanimously, That the time be, and the same is
hereby extended to the second Monday in January next,
and that the Cashier give notice, that the said Instalment
is required to be paid on or before the said second Mon
day in January next.

is a stout, likely, artful fellow, thirty years of age, will no
doubt make for Savannah, and probably endeavor to get
on as tar as Turtle River, having a wife’ belonging to the
estate of Coachman, in that county; lie may obtain a
forged pass. The above reward will be paid on con
viction of either being harbored by a white or black
person, or Twenty Dollars for either being lodged in the
Coosawhatcliic or Savannah goal.
