We are informed by Mr. Dyer, keeper of th
light-house at Riccs-Point, that on the night of th
31-1 ult his brother discovered 8 sea.faring m
on the beach by the light-house, who reque.-ted
him to have lodgings They stated that they wtr
from Havana^ (where they sold their vessel) and
had taken passage in a vesse l bound to an eastern
port, but wishing'toget to Boston, they had bud
cd there in a fishing boat, presuming they should

The men were afterwards brought to Province,
town, (with the exception of one who hid his leg
broken, be ) and 5 of them arrived at this port on
