This morning, ;be Prudence, off Tybee light,
lost both her anchors—there being considerable
wind and a heavy tea running, she was forced to
Hand before h, and ran nearly up to town. The
revenue cutter IXDas, seeing the signal of distress
hoisted b. the Prudence, immediately sent her
[boats off to her, and tombed be* with an anchor,
just in time to prevent her from sustaining injury
or doing it to the other shipping in thehabor.

arrival dated October'S^ states that a very heavy
blow or hurricane was experienced at Barbadoes
on the 21st of October, winch drove on shore 14
vessels, the most of which it was feared would not
get off again. Some little damage was done in
toe interior of the island, but it was apprehended
that the neighboring islandSmust have suffered
still greater injury.
