A letter from Dresden, in Germany.
Valuable Land Negroes for sale.
The subscriber offers for sale, his PLANTA
TION, consisting of six hundred and sixty acres
of land, situate on the road leading from Louis
ville to Augusta, distant about three miles from
the former place. It is well improved; and there
is rather more than two huudred acres of cleared
land, all fresh, and under excellent fences. With
the plantation would be sold forty-five prime
Slaves. Possession of the property may be had

Lands for sale.
One thousand and fifty acres of LAND, in Mc
Intosh county, Broqi neck, in two separate tracts,
one of which containing three hundred and sixty
(360) acres, is situated on the Salts, immediately
open to Sapelo Island, remarkably healthy, with a
good two-story dwelling House, Kitchen and oth
er necessary outbuildings on the premises; two
hundred acres of which .re good cotton land,
cleared and under good fence. The other tract,
which is within a mile and a half of the first, con
tains 640 acres, two hundred and fifty (250) of
which are of first quality high inland swamp, very
level and easily drained, having a large salt creek
at either extremity—it may be considered as prime
land for corn, cotton or sugar cane, and may be
rendered perfectly secure by a force of 40 or 50
hands.—There is a great deal of light red oak
land, some stoney knowles, and the balance well
timbered pine barren. For terms apply to Mr.

considerable property, to which property his two
sons, Charles Augustus Steinmet*, merchant, and
Justin Ferdinand Steinmctz, s gold and silver
smith, are the co-heirs.
These two brothers have been « long time in
the United States of America, via. Charles Augus
tus, who adopted tbe name of Chailea Steincrt,
lias been for some time in Boston, at other times
in Philadelphia, Baltimore and New-York—Justin

heard from their brothers itnbe tlie year 1810—
they are very desirous to come to a settlement in
regard to the aforementioned inheritance, and
therefore herewith request all such persons who
may have some knowledge < f the said Charles Au
gustus Steinmctz, alias Charles Steincrt, and Justin
Ferdinand Steinmetz alias Justin Ferdinand Smidt,
to give all the information in their power as to
their places of residence, (if they be alive) wheth

Jonathan Thomas, Jesse H. Harrison.
Upon the petition of James Hameiton, praying
to be admitted to the benefit of the act for the re
lief of insolvent debtors, tbe said James Hamel-
ton being now in the custody of the sheriff of this
count):
It m ordered. That the creditors of the said
James Hameiton do attend, if they deem it pro-
£ er, at the court house in this county, on the first
londay in August next, tn shew cause, if any
they have, why the prayer of the said petitioner
shall not be granted; at which time, the said pe.
tioner will nuke a surrender on term of tbe acts
in such case made and provided. And, it itfurther
ordered. That a copy of this will be served on the
different creditors within ten days from Uni) date,
or published in the Savannah Republican once
every week from the expiration of the ten days
until tbe said first Monday in August.

B. Powell. On motion of Mr. Dunwoody, attor
ney for James Hamilton, praying an extension of
an order issued from this court on tbe first Jane
last, for thirty days longer for the purpose of
completing the time required by law for the no
tice to be given to creditors. Ordered, the prayer
be granted, and tbe second Monday in September
next be appointed for the discharge of tbe prison
