Lands for sale.
One thousand and fifty acres.of LAND, in Mc-
Intoih county, Brocp neck, in two separate tracts,
one of which containing three hundred and sixty
(360) acres, is situated on the Salts, immediately
open to Sapelo Island, remarkably healthy, with a
good two.story dwelling House, Kitchen and oth
er necessary outbuildings on the. premises; two
hundred acres of which are good cotton land,
cleared and under good fence. The other tract,
which it within a mile and a half of the first, con-
tains 640 acres, two hundred and fifty (250) of
which are of first quality high inland swamp, very
level and easily drained, having a large salt creek
at either extremity—it may be considered as prime
land for corn, cotton or sugar cane, and may be
rendered perfectly secure by a force of 40 or 50
hand?.—There ie a great deal of fight red oak
land, some stoney knowles, and the balance well

A letter from Dresden, in Germany,
(TRANSLATION)
On the 9th of January, 1818, died in this place,

Justin Ferdinand Steinmetz, a gold and silver*
smith, are the co-heirs.
These two brothers have been a long time in
the United State* of America, viz Charles Angus-
tus, who adopted tbe name of Charles Steincrt,
hat been for same time in Boston, at other time*
in Philadelphia, Baltimore anu New-York—Justin
Ferdinand, under the a: (timed name of Justin Per,
dinand Smalt, has been also residing in the above
places, and Ira some time In Savannah, Georgia.)
Their three sisters, how living' here, have not
heard from their brothers since the year 1810—
they are very desirous to come to a settlement in
regard to Die aforementioned inheritance, and
therefore herewith request all such persons who
may have tome knowledge ef the said Charles Au-
rust us Steinmetz, alias Charles Steinert, and Juttin
Ferdinand Steinmetz alias Justin Ferdinand 6midt,
tn give all the information in their power as to
their places of residence, (if they be alive) wheth
er they have families, Ac.

John Thomas, Bear Uairis’s neck, Sapelo mainc.
He it about thirty years of age and five feet four
inchei high. He haa given various accounts about
the residence of bis owner. His complexion i*

William F. Pierson, of Fairfield, South-Carolina.

smith, and that his present owner purchased him
pf Ben. Prescot. He has it email scar over his
